本日はQS1000男子のRound 1がスタート。本日は男子ラウンド2まで熱い試合が繰り広げられた。

御前崎プロ2023、初日の注目はやはりオリンピック出場経験を持ちチャレンジャーシリーズを転戦中の大原洋人選手。見た目以上に海に入ってみると波のサイズがあり、ヒート中もたくさんセットが来てサイズある波を掴み、際どい縦へのアプローチに加え、大木型の大きなスプレーを出し、5.00ptと7.25ptでトータル12.25で見事第１位通過。インタビューで大原は、『２本目に乗った7.25ptのライディングは最後こけてしまったけれども高得点が出てだけに少し勿体無いことをしてしまったなと思いましたが、バックアップを上げることに専念できたと思います。先週のインドと、この後にあるニアス戦はスキップするので、ここでしっかり勝って1000ptをゲットし来年のCSに繋げたいと思っています。』と語った。明日以降の彼のライディングにも注目です。
